The La Bassine Maxi is an extra-large birthing pool designed to provide more comfort and the opportunity to involve multiple people in the (water) childbirth experience. The pool is made of PVC (with no latex used in any part of the pool) and complies with European standards. It features 2 handles on the top to support getting in and out, while the 4 handles on the inside can be used by the laboring woman to brace herself during contractions or pushing. The pool is divided into 4 air chambers; begin inflating the pool with the bottom component.

Single-use pool liner
To ensure the desired hygiene, a new pool liner must be used for each delivery. This cover lines the inside of the La Bassine birthing pool, and clever protrusions are incorporated into the cover to fit the various handles neatly. The pool liners can be ordered individually or in packs of five.
Cleaning
Thoroughly cleaning the pool after each birth requires a lot of effort and is not necessary. However, it is advised to wipe down the tub after each use and to use a personal birthing liner for each new patient. The pool can be cleaned with an approved detergent. It’s best to avoid using harsh cleaning products as they may adhere to the PVC.
