This interactive package was developed by doula, physiotherapist, and member of the childbirth advisory board, Penny Simkin. It’s a fun way to educate expectant parents about what to expect during labor. The roadmap depicts labor as a journey that begins with the first contractions and ends with birth. The journey includes three paths: a winding yellow road with no fixed time frame, a “detour” for back pain; which is a longer, bumpier road that eventually reconnects to the yellow road. And the epidural highway; representing the choice for epidural pain relief. Each path ends joyfully with the birth of the baby.
The roadmap includes illustrations of various supportive actions that can be applied as labor progresses. An ideal learning tool during childbirth classes and a beautiful decoration for delivery rooms.
The package includes a laminated map 76 x 58 cm, a presentation guide, and a double-sided tear-off pad. The tear-off pad is also available separately.
